Split-level extension to a Queenslander cottage

We were approached by a client who had already been through a design-and-build process that proved uneconomical. The project needed a re-think - one which involved meeting the same brief while minimising internal structural changes. It soon became apparent that raising and building under wasn’t a good strategy - instead, working with the site and in highlighting a prominent tree, we proposed incorporating a half-level Extension which encompassed key Kitchen, Living and Dining spaces.

All this means superior space, delivered at a six-figure cost saving for the client!
